Britain: The local election results on Friday for British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party were disappointing. The election of Councilor and Mayor was considered very important for Sunak after assuming the post of Prime Minister of Britain last year, it was being seen as the first major election test for PM Sunak. But looking at the election results before the general elections, it can be clearly said that Sunak’s party has suffered.

Thursday’s local council elections did not turn out in favor of the ruling conservatives. PM Sunak himself accepted this thing. The Prime Minister said during an interview with Sky News that the defeat of hardworking Conservative councilors was disappointing. Even after the loss to the party in the elections, he talked about the priorities and problems of the people. Promising them that restoring economic growth and stopping migrant boats crossing the Channel are among our priorities.

Elections held in 230 out of 317 councils

The main opposition Labor Party said that we have made an increase in more than 8,000 council seats from 230 districts. This defeat has been like a disaster for Sunak. Voters have punished Sunak and his party for their failures. Labor’s national campaign coordinator Shabana Mehmood said that we will try to live up to the expectations of the public.
