Best Comfortable Shoe Deals

I’ve tried hundreds of pairs of comfortable travel shoes, so I feel extra confident in my ability to spot a pair of kicks that are worth a spot in my carry-on. I know firsthand how a blister or cramped toe can make a travel day extra difficult, so I am very particular about the sneakers, flats, and boots I pack.

My go-to walking shoes come from New Balance, Vionic, and Saucony, but there are lots of styles that make comfy and cute travel shoes. Whether looking for sporty sneakers or low-top booties, I rounded up 10 comfortable shoe deals to shop from Amazon, Nordstrom, and Zappos—all under $100.

I took a risk by packing these New Balance 327 Sneakers as my only footwear for a three-week trip around the Pacific Northwest—and itfully paid off. These kicks are supremely comfortable and are now the MVPs of my collection of more than 40 pairs of sneakers. From strolls through the national forest behind my parents’ house to logging 15,000 steps around Seattle, the cushioning and lightweight design of these New Balance shoes make them the perfect travel shoes. On sale for $85, I already have another color in my cart.

Kizik Womens Shoes: Sydney

Kizik makes some of the best slip-on travel shoes T+L editors have ever tried, and the Sydney Sneakers are no exception. The best part of Kizik shoes is the stiff heel, which makes them incredibly easy to slip on and off. These sneakers are built with comfort in mind from heel to toe, thanks to the brand’s proprietary Rabbit midsole cushioning, a thick rubber outsole, and a heel with extra padding (goodbye, blisters!). Even better, you can snag these slip-ons for 50 percent off right now.

Saucony Unisex-Adult Ride Millennium

Saucony’s lifestyle sneakers are some of the lightest and most comfortable travel shoes I’ve ever worn. I have a pair similar to these Millennium Sneakers that I wear all of the time around New York City. The mesh upper and featherlight outsole make these sneakers super breathable, which helps with clocking thousands of steps in warmer weather. On sale for 20 percent off, now is a great time to invest in a pair of these comfy sneakers.

Colbie Sneaker (Women) Vionic

Both podiatrists and Oprah love Vionic shoes for traveling, so don’t sleep on the discounted Colbie Sneaker. If you like a bit of height to your footwear, these shoes have a 1-inch platform that adds an elevated look (literally!) to your travel outfit. Designed with a removable midsole cushion and built-in arch support, it’s nice to have the option to swap them out for your own or keep your kicks extra fresh after a trip. Right now, the silver and beige colors are on sale for $90 at Nordstrom.

Dr. Scholl's Shoes Women's Nova Sneaker

For those who don’t love a sporty sneaker, the Dr. Scholl’s Nova Slip-ons are a solid alternative. They don’t have laces, so you can easily slip them on and off while going in and out of a hotel room or on the plane. The black snakeskin print is a stylish replacement for plain leather, but those styles are also on sale if it’s more to your taste. Made with a soft lining on the inside, you can wear these with or without socks, too.

Brita-C Knit Mary Jane Flat (Women) MIA

I always try to pack a pair of knit flats as a sneaker alternative, and these Mia Brita-c Knit Mary Jane Flats have all of the components for walking serious mileage. The textile strap can be adjusted to your exact liking on each foot, since the fabric is completely permeable. The fabric is designed to be more breathable and lightweight than typical leather flats, and the footbed has quilted cushioning for extra comfort.

Vionic Women's Uptown Slip-ons Loafer

Another alternative to sneakers, these Vionic loafers won’t let you down in the comfort department. They are the best pair with arch support we’ve ever tried, thanks to the brand’s Vio Motion technology footbed that has built-in cushioning and arch support. The best part is that the upper is made of soft leather, but the outsole is EVA foam, so these aren’t heavy and clunky like other loafers with a slight platform.

Zappos Naturalizer 27 Edit Carla

If you’re going to get a pair of comfortable ballet flats to walk in, it better be this pair from Naturalizer. T+L associate editorial director Morgan Ashley Parker spent a weekend in Philadelphia, where she walked a whopping 22 miles in these stylish flats. Crafted with the brand’s Contour-plus Comfort technology, the flats are designed with arch support, cushioning, and breathability. The best part? They are a massive 62 percent off right now, so snag them while they are just $59.

ECCO Women's, Soft 7 Low Bootie

Spring weather can be temperamental, so a pair of these Ecco sneaker-booties is a solid choice. They have a leather upper and a rubber outsole with generous traction, so they are designed with longevity and comfort in mind. One five-star reviewer loves Ecco shoes for traveling through Europe and can wear them for walking 10 miles on cobblestone roads in complete comfort. “They have better arch support than most shoes,” they added.

Nike Motiva

Dubbed one of the most comfortable travel shoes ever, T+L writer Jasmine Gomez is a big fan of the rocker design and extra-thick cushioning. “I personally love these shoes because I spend all day in them without experiencing any foot fatigue,” Gomez said. Nike also made sure these sneakers had a wide forefoot, toe box, and arch, so your feet willnever feel cramped. Additionally, the mesh upper ensures they stay breathable, and the rubber outsole has traction to prevent slipping while walking and sightseeing.

Ryka Devotion X

T+L has tested hundreds of pairs of walking shoes with arch support, and our favorites come from Ryka. The Devotion Walking Shoes have Ryka’s proprietary Activfoam EVA built into the midsole to cushion each step, while the brand’s E-zorb cushioning targets the forefoot and heel. This means your foot is cushioned and supported throughout the shoe, which is ideal for walking miles and miles. Plus, they are a bit more stylish than a pair of sportier sneakers.
