Unforgettable meals aren’t only about the quality of their ingredients. An exceptional culinary experience likewise extends to the beauty of the cutlery, crystal, and fine china set the meal is served with, ideally in a space likewise suited to the elegance of such a tablescape.
That’s the idea behind the limited-edition dining opportunity recently introduced at Raffles Boston, the upscale hotel and residential tower that debuted in 2023 in the city’s historic Back Bay neighborhood. Known as the Raffles x Christofle Bespoke Dining Experience, this private evening starts with a stay for two in the hotel’s 2,200-square-foot Presidential Suite and showcases a meal curated by Raffles culinary director Jim Reuteman. Amid a refined multiroom suite that hosts a baby grand piano, fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the Charles River, guests can enjoy a bespoke six-course tasting menu with wine pairings for up to 10 guests.

Founded in 1830, iconic French tableware brand Christofle is overseeing the design of the place settings. The pieces range from the brand’s Louis XVI-inspired Perles flatware dating to 1876, to its decidedly modern Babylone porcelain tableware, which was created in 2023 by jewelry designer Aurélie Bidermann and takes its cue from the Bohemian-meets-luxe influence of the rue de Babylone, located in the 7th Arrondissement of Paris. Other Christofle pieces featured in the offering include the silver-plated Vertigo tray and Malmaison sterling flatware, introduced by the house in 1967.
