Just in time for peak season in Utah’s Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Red Cliffs Lodge Moab has unveiled an extensive renovation. Set on the banks of the Colorado River about 20 miles from downtown Moab, the Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors Collection lodge makes an ideal launchpad for park adventures.

The refresh comprises a completely redesigned main lodge, a new signature restaurant and cocktail lounge, and an updated look across the lodge’s 40 creekside and 39 riverfront suites.

“Channeling the look and feel of authentic national park lodges was an important part of this renovation project,” says Nicholas Fogarty, general manager of Red Cliffs Lodge Moab. “We took great care to preserve its independent spirit and also invite guests to truly immerse themselves in the destination, from the captivating views from the lodge to the quiet serenity offered by the Colorado River that winds itself around the property.”

Inside the reimagined lodge, floor-to-ceiling windows look out to the surrounding red rock mesas, while a central fireplace anchors the lobby as the hotel’s natural meet-up spot, equally useful for morning coffee, post-hike decompression, and a pre-dinner drink. The lobby also doubles as a practical base camp, staffed by a local team who can help map out customized experiences, from personalized tours to off-the-beaten-path outings. Across from the welcome desk, a new retail space stocks a mix of curated local goods plus grab-and-go snacks and supplies for the trail.

Ember, the lodge’s new all-day restaurant and cocktail lounge, is inspired by the idea of a communal campfire meal. The menu focuses on regional ingredients and comfort dishes like grilled trout and peppercorn-crusted New York striploin.

Beyond the refreshed design, the lodge is leaning into what travelers come to Moab to do: get outside. Partnerships with local outfitters make it easy to book standout add-ons, such as guided dark-sky tours in Arches, air tours over Canyonlands, and horseback rides through historic western movie locations.

Nightly rates at Red Cliffs Lodge Moab start from $225, and you can book your stay at redcliffslodge.com.
