Skechers Slip-on Sneakers Are $39 for Amazon Prime Day

Don’t knock slip-on sneakers until you’ve tried them. They might get a bad rap for being “granny shoes,” but boy are they undeniably comfortable (and ridiculously convenient for travel). You just have to find a pair that won’t give off too much of an orthopedic vibe, like these Skechers Go Walk Flex-Relish Slip-ins that could easily pass for a much cooler pair of canvas sneakers.

Performance-wise, they’re sitting at the top of the hands-free sneaker category with almost 7,000 five-star Amazon ratings, many of which are accompanied by glowing reviews suggesting they’re a solid choice for 20,000-step-count days, 50-mile hikes, and more. You’ll want to jump all over this Amazon Prime Day deal when you hear about the great distances people have walked in them, especially now that they’re as low as $39.

These slip-on shoes are from the brand’s famous Go Walk collection, which many would argue is one of the most comfortable sneaker collections on the planet. This style puts a little spring in your step with bouncy, lightweight cushioning and molds to your unique foot shape thanks to Skechers’ trademarked Air-Cooled Memory Foam. Your feet are sandwiched between pillowy soles and a breathable mesh upper that keeps the air flowing to prevent sweating and blisters.

The best part? You don’t even have to bend over to put them on. If you’re wondering how fast you can slip them on and off in the TSA line, listen to this: “I live on 23 acres, and sometimes, because my German shepherd likes to jump the fence, I can get these shoes on fast and I can do so without even touching them.” Another wrote that they “truly just jump on your foot” without the slightest effort.

Travelers buy them specifically for airport security. Others have worn them on adventures far more extreme, such as a 50-mile walk in Italy and logging 20,000 steps a day, including on hiking trails, all over Japan. One person tested them on a 6-mile walking tour of Boston without breaking them in first, and their feet felt great: “no blisters!” Shoppers say they’re beneficial for traveling in parts of Asia where it’s customary to remove your shoes at the door, as well as for exploring national parks and running to catch trains in your destination.
