This $10 Toiletry Bag Is Flight Attendant-loved

There are a few commonly-spotted luggage brands rolling alongside flight attendants at the airport, whether it’s Travelpro’s familiar Eiffel Tower logo or the understated luxurious look of a Briggs & Riley bag. But, when it comes to the tried-and-trusted travel accessories that fill their suitcases, we’re left wondering what’s inside — until we head to the Amazon reviews section.

When browsing trusty toiletry bags at Amazon, we came across this Bagsmart Dopp Kit that features numerous positive reviews from flight attendants. It’s sturdy, multifunctional, water-resistant, and chock-full of pockets without being too fussy. It has 14,000 five-star ratings from flight attendants, corporate travelers, and aesthetic vacationers alike. More than 6,000 people have purchased it in the last month alone. The best part of all? You can get it for as low as $10.

The toiletry bag, priced from $10 to $20 depending on the style, offers plenty of room for mini shower products, shaving essentials, makeup, and more. There are two options to choose from: the $10 kit that has two top zip pockets and the $20 version that has a side pocket that unfolds flat. It isn’t a TSA-approved liquids bag because it isn’t clear, but you can pack it in your checked luggage or use it to pack non-liquids in your carry-on.

TikTok-famous flight attendant @ciciinthesky recommended the case in a 2023 reel, calling it her favorite toiletry bag “by far” after trying several different shapes, sizes, designs, and brands. She said the medium bag is the “perfect size” for fitting a whole bathroom countertop’s worth of personal care items. (There’s also a larger size, which is $23, that flight attendants recommend for carrying more full-size bottles in your checked suitcase.)

The main compartment is wide and roomy, unfastening with a dual-zipper flap so it stays open on its own, and lined with lots of little organizational pouches. One side pocket offers mesh zipper pouches and slots for brushes and tools, while the other one is waterproof for wet/dry items. One shopper praises the smart design: “The bag has multiple compartments that make it easy to organize all my toiletries. There’s a spot for everything, from my toothbrush and razor to larger bottles of shampoo and body wash.”

“This is my favorite toiletries bag so far,” a flight attendant wrote in their review. “The two-zippered compartment is great to keep the bag all open. It has a lot of elastic compartments to keep everything in place, [it’s] easy to clean, [and] not bulky at all.” Frequent fliers agree with its impressive performance: one person who takes up to 80 flights a year says that though it’s “not the fanciest looking toiletry bag” — meaning that it’s very minimalist on the outside — “its function really shines.”

Amazon shoppers also praise its durability; some say they’ve used the bag for two years and still “could not be happier” with their purchase. Contributing to its longevity is the stain-resistant exterior that comes clean with a quick wipe-down. The toiletry bag is available in black, beige, gray, navy, green, and light pink.
