This Luxury Hotel Group Now Lets You Travel Through the Caribbean and the Mediterranean on a $700,000-per-week Superyacht

The distinction between high-end land and sea hospitality is increasingly blurring, as the likes of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Four Seasons, Orient Express, and Aman launch branded yacht-style vessels that extend their presence to the ocean.

Luxury hotel group Jumeirah has chartered a slightly different course as it makes its first splash in the water. The group, which includes the iconic Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and the recently opened Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in Dubai among its global properties, has partnered with one of the world’s most prestigious superyachts to introduce its brand of Arabian hospitality to Mediterranean and Caribbean cruising.

Maltese Falcon, a legendary three-mast sailing yacht originally built for Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tom Perkins, is now part of the Jumeirah Privé portfolio. It’s the second addition to the brand’s collection of properties and experiences designed for the ultra-rich, alongside Jumeirah Thanda Island, its private island off the east coast of Tanzania.

The first charters set sail from Antigua in December 2025, and the yacht will spend winter in Caribbean destinations such as The Bahamas, St. Martin, and St. Barts, before crossing over to Europe in summer to cruise classic Mediterranean yachting hotspots including Monaco, St. Tropez, Mallorca, Sardinia, the Greek Islands, Croatia, and Montenegro.

Those who can afford the $700,000-plus a week price tag are in for a treat. Launched in 2006, the 288-foot head turner has won over 18 awards for its innovative design, which includes 2,400 square meters of sails that unfurl in just six minutes and a three-deck atrium with sunlight.

Up to 12 guests will enjoy the finer side of the superyacht life on board, with a fleet of water toys at their fingertips, including Jet Skis and kayaks, as well as access to a massage room and fitness studio. They’ll savor meals in the Japanese-style formal dining room and can even settle in to watch their favorite movies under the stars: films are projected onto a lower sail, a setup that is, according to multiple yachting outlets, the world’s largest outdoor cinema.

The partnership reflects Jumeirah’s commitment to distinctive and purposeful experiences, Thomas Meier, CEO of Jumeirah, said at the time of the announcement.

“The yacht’s heritage and craftsmanship are truly remarkable, and our role in this partnership will be to further elevate the onboard journey through our culinary expertise, wellness experiences, and the warm spirit of Arabian hospitality that defines Jumeirah,” Meier added.

Guests who charter the Maltese Falcon through Jumeirah Privé can expect exclusive extras, including branded amenities, culinary experiences, and excursions when docking at Jumeirah properties in Mallorca, Capri, and beyond.
