So, to help you get the most out of your family holiday, we’re sharing our absolute top family hotels in Greece that we just know you’ll love. Each has its own vibe and culture, with locations across Greece’s mainland and stunning islands.
Have an amazing time visiting Greece. You will love it!
1.) Sani Resort, Halkidiki
One of the best family hotels in Greece that’s truly made for kids of all ages.
Let’s be honest, you’re not booking a family hotel in Greece just for a kids’ club. Yes, they’re a huge benefit and an absolute gem if your child is old enough, and more importantly, loves them… but there’s so much more to family-friendly hotels than that. It’s all about making your holiday less stressful. This is where Sani Resorts and hotels in Greece come into their own.
For instance, Sani Resort in Halkidiki (you fly into nearby Thessaloniki) is an absolute gem. They’re so much more than a hotel with a kids club! They’ve really nailed down how to make family trips easier and more convenient, whilst giving you as much or as little independence as you and your children need.
We absolutely loved our trip to Sani Resorts, where we chose to stay at Sani Dunes. We chose this hotel as it was a quieter and smaller option compared to some of the larger hotels in Sani Resort. You see, Sani Resort has several hotels around a cluster. It’s like a small town, and you can dip in and out of each resort, regardless of which one you’re staying in.
For babies, they have qualified nannies and daycare and all the items you’ll need when you arrive. They provide everything like feeding chairs, cots, baths, sterilisers and even food, baby soaps and strollers. This makes a trip much easier as you’re not having to cart a huge amount of luggage to and from home. Plus, their fleet of taxis has car seats which you can use for your family.
For older children, you have amazing experiences and kids’ clubs, ranging from the Rafael Nadal Tennis Centre and the Bear Grylls Survival Academy for little explorers. Plus, for dinner, each of the Sani Resort restaurants has totally free food for children and babies. It’s so good, and all made fresh!
Finally, there is a heap of pools, entertainment centres, bars and restaurants. All of which are child-friendly. This way, you can enjoy your holiday without having to worry about cut-off times to get the little ones out of restaurants. Plus, you can choose meal plans, from full board (all meals) or half board (breakfast and dinner). We did the latter, as you actually get discounts to spend in places like the Beach Bar, which is great for a lazy lunch.
Also, don’t forget that Sani Resort Hotels are also the same company as Ikos Hotels. The same concept, just all-inclusive, so all drinks and expenses are covered. If that’s more your vibe, have a little gander, as they’re one of the best family hotels in Greece if you want to not worry about additional spending once you get to Greece.

2.) Costa Navarino, Peloponnese
An iconic family hotel in Greece that’s in its own luxury, resort-like town!
Nestled on the south coast of mainland Greece, Costa Navarino has the same type of setup as Sani Resort. This means there is a cluster of brands and hotels that make up a resort, which is amazing if you want variety. Not only is Costa Navarino amazing if you want a luxe hotel experience, but it’s also in the stunning Peloponnese, which has some incredible beaches and coastline to enjoy.
Now, the reason why Costa Navarino is one of the best family hotels in Greece is that it encompasses four five-star hotels: the gorgeous Westin Hotel, the uber-luxe Romanos (A Luxury Collection) Hotel, the younger W Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The latter is a world-class hotel, and it’s totally amazing.

3.) Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort, Zakynthos
The best premium all-rounder family hotel in Greece!
One of the benefits of Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort is that it doesn’t position itself as an uber-luxury, family resort. That being said, it’s certainly not budget, either. The Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort in Zakynthos, which won’t break the bank (though it can be higher at peak times), is one of the best family resorts in Greece if you’re looking for easy access to the award-winning beach and baby pools, which are perfect for younger kids. Now, what I would say is that the beach (Katragaki Beach) is a little pebbly here. Though, don’t fret if you want a sandy beach, the Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort more than makes up for a few stones.
Also, if you’re tavellinh with bigger kids, the Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort is perfect. You’ve got heaps of slides and larger pools that are totally amazing. The kids will spend all day here. Plus, it’s on the east, less hilly side of Zakynthos, which makes it much easier to get around by hire car if you want to explore the wider island, which, honestly, you should! There are so many incredible places in Zakynthos you need to visit when on the island!
Finally, another win for Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort is the size of the resort. It’s pretty large, which means you have heaps of choices on where to eat, grab a tipple, or just stroll around if you want a lazy holiday in Greece. It’s perfect.

4.) Amazoe Hotel, Peloponnese
The perfect family hotel in Greece for a luxury holiday!
Looking for pristine luxury when in Greece with the family? Then head to one of the best family hotels in Greece that’s perched on the stunning mainland of Greece. It’s called Amanzoe and is nestled within the rolling hills of the Peloponnese. Now, by car, it will take around 2.5-3 hours from Athens Airport to arrive at the Amazoe Hotel, but don’t let that journey put you off – it’s worth the drive
It’s beautiful and one of those luxury family hotels that isn’t necessarily marketed as a family hotel, but it absolutely is. The whole concept is about peace, quiet and easy access to nature and, of course, the beach. Although you can’t really walk to the beach here, the hotel arranges transfers, and it’s all so easy. Best of all, lots of the suites have private pools, which is perfect if you want to splash around without disturbing other guests.
It’s so easy to think that Aman Hotels aren’t family properties, but they really are so accommodating and the perfect place to spend a Greek family holiday if you’re looking for lots of luxury experiences, award-winning food, relaxation and a retreat-style vibe. You will love it.

5.) Four Seasons Astir Palace, Athens
The best family hotel in Greece if you want a mix of city and beach.
The great thing about the Four Seasons Astir Palace in Athens is that it’s a truly luxurious family hotel, perfect if you’re visiting with the wider family. You see, it’s not the kind of Greek hotel that focuses on kids’ enjoyment. Yes, that’s important (a must, even), but it also heavily focuses on adult-led experiences that make this a gem to visit if you’re visiting Greece with the wider family of friends.
Now, let’s talk location. The Four Seasons Astir Palace is around a 25-minute drive from the very centre of Athens. This is a great thing, in my opinion. It leaves you enough space to dip in and out of all the historical sights of the city, without feeling like you have to go in every single day to explore. After all, some of the best family holidays in Greece have ample time for pool and beach days! This is even more the case when you realise that the hotel has three pristine private beaches to enjoy. It’s incredible, and being in the Aegean Sea, the water is nice and calm and typically quite shallow.
Now, what makes Four Seasons Astir Palace, Athens is for children above 4 years old. They have a whole dedicated program (called the Kids For All Seasons club) for little explorers who want to enjoy the hotel. From creche days, activities, workshops and group spaces, which are all included in the hotel price. They even have a dedicated babysitting service (at an additional charge) if you want an adult evening in the hotel, or to explore the amazing places in Athens (which you can’t miss). It’s perfect.

6.) Stella Palace, Crete
An iconic family hotel in Greece that’s perfect for active kids!
Okay, so Stella Palace is the children’s friendly hotel that’s right next door to the Stella Island Luxury Resort in Crete. You know, the hotel that has overwater villas. Now, the latter is only for older children (over 15 years old), so save that hotel for older kids or family members (like grandparents) or friends that want the peace and quiet of an adults-only hotel, that’s right next door to Stella Palace (the family hotel). It’s a great way to mix different priorities if you’re travelling in a wider group, and the people staying in Stella Island Luxury Resort will be able to dip into the fun and frolics with the wider family at any point. The hotels are literally less than a 2-minute walk from each other!
Focusing on Stella Palace, not only is it one of the best family hotels in Greece in Crete, but it’s also one of the best at keeping kids entertained. There is its own water park, heaps of space to stroll around (and it’s nice and flat, so no pushing strollers up huge Greek hills) and direct access to the beach! It’s all so easy! Best of all, if travelling with a few different age groups, the all-inclusive aspect is a game-changer! Everyone can choose what to eat, without having those dreaded fights about which restaurant will be good for the kids and the adults’ culinary tastes.
Now, there are also heaps of amazing sights to see in Crete. So, if you’re looking to explore, we’d recommend renting a car. You see, Crete is a huge island (the biggest in Crete), and there are so many lovely towns, coves and archaeological sights that are so worth visiting.

7.) Thermae Sylla Spa & Wellness Hotel, Evia
A perfect family hotel in Greece that focuses on adults (whilst always accommodating kids).
If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel where kids are allowed, but it isn’t exclusively for families, then the Thermae Sylla Spa and Wellness Hotel is for you! You see, it’s the kind of hotel that has heaps of experiences that, although they aren’t adult-exclusive, they definitely lean into making sure the adults enjoy their stay, just as much as the little ones!
This is most evident when it comes to the hotel’s incredible spa! You see, this part of Greece is well known for its thermal pools, and the hotel really focuses on the rest and relaxation element of this (for ages 15 and above). Great if you have older kids, but not so much if you want to exclusively spend your holiday with your children by your side.
Unlike some of the larger family hotels, Thermae Sylla Spa and Wellness Hotel doesn’t have active kids clubs or dedicated children’s pools. This means that the whole family can enjoy the outdoor spaces together. In all, this is a family-friendly, rather than family-marketed hotel.

8.) Kontokali Bay Resort and Spa, Corfu
An iconic luxury family hotel in Greece that’s in the Ionian Sea.
Now, if you’re visiting the beautiful island of Corfu and want a little slice of luxury for your family holiday, then Kontokali Bay Resort is for you. This place is stunning! You see, it’s got all the luxury elements you’d expect from a high-end resort, but without the pomp or faff around it. This makes it perfect for families, both young and older. Plus, the restaurant offering is amazing, for both adults and kids!
Also, the private beach is a total dream and perfect if your little ones love to splash around in the sunshine. They have dedicated toddler pools, clubs (Mini Club) for older kids and entertainment each day. This means your children can have a full day of activities, or just dip in and out of them as you please.
One of the things we think Kontokali Bay Resort and Spa does very well is to focus on all children. Not just toddlers or older kids.

9.) Ikos Aria Resort, Kos
One of the best luxury family hotels in Greece for all-inclusive in Kos.
Owned by the same group as Sani Resorts, Ikos is the other family-friendly luxury brand of resorts that are dotted around Greece and various other spots in the Mediterranean. Now, what sets Ikos apart from Sani Resorts is that it’s all-inclusive. This means you can pack your cards away for the whole time on holiday and not have to worry about those pesky additional spends. It’s perfect if you want to keep track of finances, but still have that five-star luxury resort in Greece.
Again, similar to Sani, Ikos Aria Resort in Kos really focuses on children. Freshly cooked kids’ meals (for all ages), all amenities available and included in your booking price (sterilisers, cots, high chairs, etc). Plus, they have daily creche services and spaces for older kids to enjoy within their own little club.
Not only that, Ikos will typically offer a 1-day car rental if you’re staying for several days with them! This is great if you want to explore the beautiful island of Kos during your stay.
Oh, and don’t forget, if you don’t want to visit the island of Kos, Ikos resorts operate at various other places in Greece!

10.) Porto Zante, Zakynthos
One of the best luxury family hotels in Greece to book if you don’t want a resort feel in Zakynthos.
Porto Zante, for us, is great for kids! It’s much smaller in size than, say, Sani Resorts in Halkidiki, but it’s no less amazing. You see, their vibe is all about privacy and quieter moments. Porto Zante really shines with its gorgeous villas, which are perfect when travelling with the family. Plus, like many of the bigger hotels, they have all the amenities needed for babies, meaning you can just chill and not end up packing for like 3 days before your trip!
Oh, and MAYA (their Japanese fusion restaurant) at Porto Zante is totally amazing. The food is so good.
Finally, with private pools in the villas, it’s the kind of place that’s perfect for older kids to splash around and not worry too much about disturbing guests. It’s a luxury hotel that’s perfect to visit if you want to explore Zakynthos.
