Beloved theme park Dollywood is partnering with budget carrier Allegiant Air to launch a first-of-its-kind themed “fan flight,” turning a routine Orlando to Tennessee route into a full travel experience.

The route, named Flight #925 in a nod to Dolly Parton’s iconic song “9 to 5,” is scheduled to depart Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) for Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) on Nov. 6, arriving at the main gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains and Dollywood. Passengers will find themed celebrations at the gate, live entertainment, trivia games during the flight, special food and drinks, and exclusive Dollywood merchandise, according to the airline.

“Flight #925 is all about embracing the joy of travel,” Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, said in a statement. “Partnering with Dollywood Parks & Resorts allows us to deliver a unique experience that reflects the best of both brands: great value, unforgettable moments, and the chance to create memories from the second you step on board.”

Passengers on flight #925 who then purchase tickets to Dollywood will receive complimentary exclusive ride time opportunities along with special treats, reserved show seating, dedicated ride time, and more during the park’s Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration.

Passengers will also have access to special lodging packages complete with up to 25 percent off, a $100 credit for food and beverages or resort merchandise, and more.

“We’re excited to welcome our Orlando-area friends with several exclusive, behind-the-scenes park experiences to add even more memories to their Smoky Mountain vacation,” Eugene Naughton, the president of Dollywood Parks & Resorts, said in the statement, adding “Allegiant has long provided travelers in the Orlando area with a convenient, high-value way to visit the Smoky Mountains, one of the nation’s leading family vacation destinations.”

The partnership is part of a larger trend across the travel industry with co-branded and themed train trips and special themed flights linked to entertainment and lifestyle brands increasingly popping up.

The themed flight comes on the heels of Dollywood’s plans to open the world’s first indoor family hybrid coaster and whitewater river raft ride, NightFlight Expedition. The ride will take park goers on an immersive journey through the Smoky Mountains to search for bioluminescence with the ability to operate rain or shine.

Travelers can book the flight on Allegiant’s website by searching for the date and selecting the correct “925” flight number.

Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Allegiant Air operates a fleet of Airbus A319, Airbus A320, and Boeing B737 aircraft. The carrier is known for its no-frills tickets that offer low fares with the option to pay for extras like seat selection.
